A Magical Night in Moncton: Savio Joseph at the Capitol Theatre

As a hypnosis and magic professional living in the Maritimes, I'm always on the lookout for live performances that include mind and illusion. Tonight, November 16, 2025, I had the pleasure of attending Savio Joseph's show at the historic Capitol Theatre in Moncton. I wasn't too familiar with him beforehand—just a quick glance at the promo materials—but he offered a solid show with something to make everyone think. Savio was also a genuinely super nice guy. I got a chance to chat with him briefly after the show, and his warmth and enthusiasm for his craft were infectious.

It's exciting to see more top-tier magic acts making their way to our corner of Canada. The Maritimes don't always get the big touring shows, but lately, we've been spoiled! Just in recent months, we've hosted Masters of Illusion, the high-octane spectacle featuring some of the world's best illusionists, and Champions of Magic, with its star-studded lineup of mind-benders and escapologists. These productions have brought Vegas-level production values right to our local venues, drawing packed houses and sparking conversations about the art of illusion.
